Encouraged by Florida Governor Charlie Crist in this February 2008 photo at Ft. Lauderdale, Keys Hydro Power has received favorable support at all levels of government to proceed with the study of tidal energy conversion in the Florida Keys.

Amended FERC Permit Applications

Out of the original 14 Provisional Permit Applications with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the following six projects have been amended and the remaining eight have been withdrawn. The projects being applied for are:

  • Bahia Honda Channel

  • Northwest Channel

  • Vaca Cut

  • Man of War Channel

  • Fleming Key Cut

  • Newfound Harbor Channel
