Clean Power from Local Tidal Current Turbines

The ebb and flow of our ocean tides are efficient, consistent, clean and free. Empty of emissions, carbons or combustibles, the currents created by the tides can provide a conscious alternative to the fossil fuels that now power most of our electrical needs.

Until now, the potential of the tides and the gravitational lunar pull upon them has remained relatively untapped. That’s where Florida Keys Hydropower Research Corporation steps up to make a difference.

Integrating action into awareness, Keys Hydro Power will reduce human-caused sources of global climate change by working with nature to harness an environmentally viable form of energy—through the research, development and implementation of tidal current turbines here in the Florida Keys. By producing a clear, feasible concept and demonstrating its success, Florida Keys Hydro Power (a nonprofit Florida corporation) will generate power from tidal turbines to feed local electric grids.
